抄録

This paper explores new approaches to vehicle sound design in electric vehicles (EVs), where traditional engine noise has diminished. By examining the collaborative research conducted by Dentsu Lab Tokyo and its partners utilizing a multimodal driving simulator, we illustrate how sound can function not only as a feedback mechanism but also as an integral interface. Case studies range from modeled engine sounds to music-based interactions, suggesting that sound can reshape driving behavior and emotional engagement. We discuss future potential for personalized and responsive sonic experiences that adapt to driving context, enhancing safety, comfort, and brand identity.
