Peltier Device Heat Absorption Analysis

Summary

Peltier device is primarily used for chiller utilizing its characteristics of endothermic and exothermic effects on each surface of the device. In general, the amount of endotherm is a function of temperature of endothermic surface on the device, which requires to include the following factors in the CAE model.

• The model has a feature to depend on the output of thermal analysis
• Discontinuous meshes need to be placed on the boundaries of the device
• The characteristic is modeled by field function

Considering the above factors, the heat transfer phenomenon of Peltier device is modeled mathematically for its endothermic and exothermic amounts by expressing field functions without developing Peltier device structural model.

Modeling of Peltier Device
