Noise Radiation Analysis by Acoustic Boundary Element Method

Summary

Noise reduction from copier and/or printer is a major development subject. ESTECH project engineer applied acoustic boundary element method to analyze radiation noise from the instrument and predict the radiation noise from an auto draft feeder(ADF), which is to make use of pre-validation of the design.

The first step is to clarify the mechanism of noise radiation phenomenon by use of both test and operational modal analyses, then coupling simulation is conducted by FE and BE models. As the result, the model enables to simulate the radiation noise up to several thousand Hz as well as the various positive impacts caused by the noise reduction in advance.

Additionally, good track record in MSC Actran application is available in the company.
